Now, despite new boss Dave Lewis pulling the plug on many non-core firms, he’s buying out Euphorium.
Though the deal is small potatoes for Tesco, the City has rightly welcomed the deal as proof that Lewis means business.
And Euphorium founder, Daniel Bear, who set up the business in 1999, walks away with his pockets stuffed full of Tesco’s dough. Good luck to him.

Bear knows how to play the reality tv gig and seems savvy about cashing in. Not as dumb as he would like us to believe. He's seen Gaz Beadle and Co leverage their fame and invest, plus he has 2 successful older brothers who know business. He won't be skint, as much as I would love to see the annoying wretch joining the queue at the job centre, the reality is he's clearly setting himself up financially. The media seem to be going along with him too. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
