This election has gone to the level of ridic, but we can largely blame the media for that (I blame the media for a lot when it comes to our politics tbqf). Most people don't think that much of it and it's just something to further sensationalize an already nasty election cycle. You and I click the articles and talk about it here, so clearly it works.

What bugs me is how easily some people believe some of the "controversy"... my grandmother (she's pro-Trump, though not rabidly) asked me what I thought of Hillary's "illness" (as if to discredit it). Even if there was more going on. I don't think she would honestly with-hold the information in order to put one over on the public. A lot of these politicians are very loyal to the party and she has benefited very much from her place there, both financially and socially, in having those connections. Bill made lots of money on speeches and she's only been able to get into office using her connections there, so I don't think she would willingly sabotage her own party just so she can have her 15 minutes... Hillary may be questionable on some of her policies, but I don't think she would intentionally be an anarchist.

She is nearly 70 years old, so it's only normal she would have some issues. You and I go to the doctor for issues and are told we are OK until something unfortunately comes up. Just because we saw the doctor a little bit more than we used to doesn't necessarily give us reason to believe our bodies will start to fail at the worst time. Our medical system, as corrupt as it is financially speaking and even if she were diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure, you can live a long time before really seeing a major decline in health... as long as you follow doctor's orders and take medication and watch diet as prescribed. A lot of people don't watch their hypertension and as time goes on, it weakens the heart muscle... even without being diagnosed CHF, it will eventually lead to that issue.
Yeah I agree that the ridiculousness has been media driven. It's actually reminded me a lot of when people were calling for Obama to release his birth certificate (a black man needing to provide documentation to prove where he's from / a woman needing to provide documentation to prove she's not weak)... there's nothing necessarily wrong with wanting to know these things but the way in which it gets discussed it does seem sometimes that if you're not a white male then you're going to have to deal with a lot more scrutiny and accusations and it just bothers me that that's still the case. But yes that's more the media, and the way certain elements of the public twist things rather than it being a problem with the system itself.
