I know. The media here is so easily trolled. Any fool with a microphone and the ability to stir the public can get a platform. It is so ironic too, because they often claim to be patriotic organizations and yet in covering it irresponsibly they are hindering the democratic processes in our country. If the media were to cover things more responsibly, I don't think we would have half our issues.
There will always be interest groups with conspiracy theories though. It's un-American to not wonder if there is a conspiracy behind 9/11, if aliens killed JFK or if Area 51 has an Illuminati-based cloud server in Syria cloud server... etc
