Exactly.
Yeah, obviously being homophobic and racist is awful but if I enjoy watching them on a show I'm not going to instantly dislike them because of their views even if they are absolutely terrible ones.
You could probably find something bad about many of the housemates if you analyzed every single thing they did/said and reviewed their backgrounds and histories etc. Nobody is perfect and the bottom line for me is: if I like what I see then an irrelevant factor isn't going to change my mind.
