Yeah but the fact he kept quiet about it, as well as saying "he caught me on the wrong day" looks pretty bad. What does he even mean by 'caught me on the wrong day'? That his mood should be allowed to dictate whether someone (however much of a scum bag) lives or dies?

I'm really torn though tbh, because I also think if he lived on the street, maybe his view on life was distorted, who knows what you go through on the street. You do get cut off from society, so the usual thinking of 'I'd better call the police' might not apply to someone in that situation. Not that it justifies it, but it makes the fact he kept quiet more understandable.
Whatever the case though he's obviously gone about it in completely the wrong way now, writing about it in an autobiography!
