This is an issue that native English speakers will never truly encounter in the world. No matter where you go in the world, you'll have easy access to English translations or be able to quickly find someone who speaks your language.

An awful lot of the arab and african countries speak fluent french, yet they are all busy trying to get out of there and in to the uk
