I dunno though, I think you're probably right that it's different for men and women... women are generally judged more by their looks than men are so maybe that's why? Personally though I don't think I really look out for it or notice it much tbh so it's hard to put a number on it, I'll be out with my friends and one of them will tell me someone's checked me out and I'll be completely oblivious to it lol. I reckon it happens to people more than they realise, everyone checks people out when they're walking down the street, we've all done it and then looked away before they catch us
My husband says I get more looks than I realize. Though I'm not looking for it anyway and they're probably a lot more casual about it. Men are not so casual when I'm by myself though...

I think it stands out more for me though because I don't spend as much time away from the home as some people since I have a home office. I usually go out mornings though to run errands when my husband is still sleeping in after his shift. So shops aren't going to be as full either. If I walk to the trails I usually go onto a path, but I do get honks occasionally before I get there... those spook me though because I'm both paranoid and I don't really like cat-calling

One time I went to a shop I don't normally go to in another part of town and some guy followed me and was like "Can I have your number?" He wouldn't leave me alone. I told him I was married (ring and all) and he still kept asking... seemed persistent even though I kept saying no and he could tell I was serious. I don't go to that store anymore though.

That reminds me. I remember I once saw this video that they exposed men to cat calling/sexual harassment... and some of them at the end were crying I think because of how wrong/stressful it was. Wish I could remember what it was called... but the men walked through a line of women reaching for them, saying very lewd things to them and pointing out their appearances, etc. They were bragging before that video that all these women were going to hit on them and it was going to be awesome.
