I watched It's a Wonderful Life yesterday. I hadn't seen it before.
I will put what I thought in spoilers tags.
Spoiler:
Okay, I was watching it and I was thinking that the early scenes where you see George's life are quite cartoonish. Very broad brushes. Of these I liked the scenes to do with his business best, like the 'run on the bank' scene.
The story got interesting for me, without wanting to sound cynical, when he was in trouble and at the end of his tether. And I thought the best bit of the film were the scenes with Clarence, and the way they showed the alternate reality if he had never been born.
The most moving bit for me was the message that Clarence wrote for George on the book which I thought was an uplifting testament to the importance of friendship.
So I'd give it 8/10 I think.
