You can fancy more than one person at a time, be infatuated with more than one person at a time..hence playing the field.
True love is your one hearts desire, in my case anyway.
Not all parents love their children, same as not all kids love their parents, we don't live in. An ideal world.
Some people stay together out of habit, or perhaps because they still love the person they are with but on a different level, deep friendship and respect take over from the swinging from the chandeliers lusty love.
