My sister made me watch it when I was like 7. It's probably the first horror film I ever saw and it got me into the genre with all their references.

It even got me into the Halloween movies. I remember me and my sister wanting to watch the film they were watching at the party (Halloween) and we caught it on TV one time and then we were so perched when H20 came out the following year

I'm not given Wes Craven past away last year (RIP ) and I don't really want anyone else touching the franchise.

The TV series sort of makes up for not having another sequel, even if the movies are superior.
