For me, what swings it is that James seems to understand he's a massive twat (and yet still acts like one. I guess leopards don't change their spots if they're being paid an extortionate amount of money to do it) whereas I think Austin genuinely believes that he's a Good Person and goes around doing his terrible **** under that assumption, especially considering that "dark cloud" Diary Room of his last night, and delusion on that level is never pretty*
