Sarah Platt does not ditch boyfriend Jason Grimshaw at the altar, itv.com can confirm.

Reports in the press suggested that Tina O’Brien’s dramatic exit later this year comes after Sarah discovers Jason doesn’t want to marry her.

But a spokesperson from the show insists this is not the case.

“The report in the press is completely bogus, Sarah does not leave the Street after jilting Jason at the altar.

“While Sarah and Jason’s big day is dramatic, it’s not because either of them change their mind about getting married.”
