I don't think they're "awful" so much as just underwhelming (especially as FO3's DLC's were all very well done). Main criticism I've heard is that the difficulty is ramped up by an unreasonable amount, especially in Nuka World. Wife's playing it already and keeps getting one-hit-killed by turrets... at level 85 in full Power Armor. There's a point where it goes past "challenging" and just isn't really fun any more
