Big Brother sponsor threat

TELLY’S Big Brother may lose its sponsor amid falling ratings and criticism it has become boring.
Debt-laden Virgin Media got a cut-price deal to back the show after Carphone Warehouse pulled out in the wake of the Jade Goody Celebrity BB racism row.
Virgin will go ahead with sponsoring CBB when it returns in January. But the firm is getting cold feet about next summer’s BB9.
A Virgin Media source said: “The series has not performed as well as hoped. And it may get just too expensive for us.”
