the_stillness - I respect rules of society. I know sometimes they have cases that shouldn't be punished (i.e. mine) but I'd happily accept a jail sentence because I know what I'd have done would be murder. It's a shame that people are being jailed when they shouldn't be - but I suppose thats the only way we can catch actual criminals.
If I were to accept that my mother wanted me to do this (and I would, her value of life always comes above mine, always) then I'd accept the sentence. Unfortunately not everyone is as willing as me and I feel sorry for people who go to jail for doing something out of love
I hate reading about euthanasia news stories because most people don't accept the jail sentence and need help - I understand their predicament because when you're a carer you value someone elses life above your own.
