I agree... its woman hating, Muslim bashing, NHS undermining peace of crap but its a peace of crap that is embraced by so many people in this country.
Part of the trick is to make the world seem more threatening than it is: crime is rising, migrants flooding the country, benefit scroungers swindling the taxpayer, standards of education falling, wind turbines taking over the countryside. Almost anything you eat or drink could give you cancer.
The Mail then assures readers they are not alone in their anxieties about this changing world. The Mail gives its readers a sense of belonging in an increasingly complex and unsettling world.
