He's never stepped into anything and to be honest I have been totally fine with that. It's a perfectly acceptable stance to say "not my business so they can sort it out themselves". There's a strange sort of respect in that, even, trusting people to be able to handle their own situations without the need for intervention...
...except that he was straight up to step in when it was skinny little John. So that philosophy goes out of the window. It's not just that he wants to be Switzerland and stay out of other people's arguments... it's that he'll only do it when it's all-against-one and that one happens to be a skinny, slightly effeminate 25 year old kid.
