For the record though, Japan has the same policy against refugees entering their country that the one Trump introduced. The official statement was that they are committed to looking after their own people first. I wonder why people's perception of them isn't tainted in the same way as the USA's?

Japan has major xenophobia issues when it comes to non-white foreigners. I pointed this out on a thread a looong time ago but people weren't very pleased about it
