Like he did have a positive impact in a lot of ways, his impact on Laura's arc, him breaking the female first evictee curse (and acting as a shield to Emma in that first eviction <3)... and as much as he was sleazy and attention seeking, I don't think he was actually a bad person from what I remember, like he wasn't cruel or nasty to people and he generally seemed fairly nice/friendly underneath all of his other faults.
