All they really do is arbitration tribunals, which deal with anything from family or business disputes to mundane and banal daily issues. Another thing Sharia law allows is religious considerations over the way meat is slaughtered. Every court must have a British registered lawyer in attendance with a scholar of Islamic law and so if it seeps outside the box, the lawyer always has authority over the religious scholar.
