Should you have to act your age as you grow older?
Hi forum
It's Easter Sunday. Happy Easter to you all.
Here is a question for you. Should one have to act their age as one grows older.? Earlier , i was wearing a t shirt and shorts, sat on the bus and had earphones in. I have a smart phone, a top of the range Samsung galaxy. I like to keep up with modern gadgets and I think having a teenage daughter helps. However as I paused a song playing. I heard an elderly couple opposite me . The woman whispered to her husband "look how scruffy he looks, dressed like a teenager and listening to music in his ears like our grandchildren . At least we act our age."
First thing first I am only 59 they were in their late 70s. Secondly I wasn't that scruffy. I was wearing older clothes as I was doing an odd diy job for a family relative. Secondly , I love pop music and keeping up with the charts.
Should I just listen to cliff Richard and Catherine Jenkins , and do a crossword and be done with it ? I am young at heart! What do you think forum ? Is Ron too old to be cool ? Ha ha .
Ron.
