Caught up with S4 last night.
I don't know if it's because I haven't watched S1-3 yet but I can't get my head around the show's fanbase... like with characters like Steve Arnott and Hastings. I don't know why they're so beloved by fans

they're deeply flawed and imo unlikeable. Arnott in particular is a jumped up prick.
I just don't know if I can lump in with the anti-Roz sentiment that the show is meant to be building - partly because Thandie Newton is Thandie Newton, but also because she's only killed someone who was literally just about to dismember her

Yes, her framing of Michael and now Hana is obviously evil but I just find it something I'm willing to overlook
I also get quite a bit of anti-PC sentiment from this current series what with the frequent eyerolls over Roz's sexism claims (I can understand why they're perceived as OTT and reaching, but I do generally get a whiff of it from Hastings/Arnott anyway), that witness refusing to say "he's white" in front of Jamie, the other witness who'd IDed Michael in a videotape being dismissed by Arnott as making it up/being subject to Roz's feminine wiles....
Oh and is it just me or is the guy playing the ACC who tries it on with Roz a really bad actor? Every line he delivers sounds like it's from a cheesy porno. I dunno, maybe it's just me. I didn't like him in the Thick of It either, that probably doesn't help
In all I'm enjoying the show but in a sort-of "this is very dumb but pass the popcorn" way.
Dumb random prediction: Balaclavaman is Nick's lawyer. Dunno why but I've seen him in other shows and he's a good actor so he'd be a bit underused if it's just this episode just gone.
