I actually disagree because of 2 reasons:
1. C5 love Benefits shows and I have a feeling a fair % are people on benefits and a lot of working class people (the show has done very badly in the ABC demo, the "posh" people don't like it much), so those working classes of people will want to see how their lives will change (if it makes that much of a difference), but the working class are always affected most by these things...
#1 is quite a far fetched reason...
But:
2. Didn't some of Election debates on C5 BEFORE BB aired get higher ratings than BB16 which followed an hour later? (I know BB16 did s*** but still). I recall those debates getting between 1.2-1.4m
