(One of the easiest ways to make $$$ in it is to invest in rival companies to big companies and then do the "assassination" missions to kill the CEO, etc.)
And I did always think when playing those... in the real world, the police would clearly flag you as a suspect when they see the massive bulk-buys of stock!
It's like these bet-fixing sports stars, who think that it won't be suspicious when they play unusually badly, and their uncle has bet £20,000 on the other team

. Big stock investments / bets like these get flagged by anti-fraud departments within minutes of being purchased.
