It was obviously a "joke name" (if you're an actual jihadist you don't name your WiFi "hi everyone I'm a jihadist'...) but yeah, at the best of times it's unfunny, on a plane / at an airport it's just insane unless you particularly WANT to be hauled in to be full body searched and grilled for hours.
Although most likely is that they set it as a joke at an earlier date, and simply forgot about it. Or a "friend" (a stupid one) who knew they were going on a plane got hold of their phone and thought it would make for a hilarious practical joke.
Other than a little symbol on the top bar, you don't necessarily know that you're running a hotspot or what it's called, once it's set up.
