Like obviously there is already the main chat thread, but it would be nice to have one for like big updates - if a person was to move house or have a baby or something, maybe a chat thread could be used for like advice and guidance, and there could be like tens of different threads, and big news, or sad news wouldnt be drowned in the one main chat thread...
Just lots of chat threads, for lots of unique topics..

That's what the private chat section is for. So someone can create a thread in that area with those updates and stuff and it is only viewable to members and not random strange lurkers.
