It doesn't seem to register that anyone could have an instant attraction and genuinely get starry eyed over another HM.

Ellie just strikes me as one of those types. She probably falls deeply in love three times a year. I don't think it's malicious or nasty. I think she just leads with emotions and gets invested super fast. I have known people like that in RL, crashing from one new love to the next.

I get the derision for showmances, they are cynical and manipulative, but it's equally cynical to automatically see every HM that falls for another HM as one these days.
