He hates the Outsiders, so he was being overly dramatic to try and make it look worse than what it actually was to the viewer at home, and the Cowardly Clique!

The man is dick. He walks around with his 30 year old girlfriend's picture on his T-Shirt, behaviour like that from a 56 year old screams mid life crisis. What a mess!!
