Because the situation he was in isn't normal. (like any other contestant) Lotan is (or was) having a nerve shredding, chaotic experience with a mixture of people who he wouldn't usually associate with. Their personalities, behaviour patterns are tested and magnified to the max and I imagine it is very hard to cope with - especially living with people 24/7 who you don't get on with. They're living like caged animals, so they're bound to behave differently to how they do in real life.

Why is it ok for them to lose it but Lotan get's bashed and called all the names under the son for doing the same? They've been cooped up in what is essentially a box for over 3 weeks, so of course tempers are going to be frayed. Lotan hasn't displayed anthing we haven't already seen from current or ex housemates.

and by your logic, we could reverse the situation by saying Lotan's looks and physique doesn't make him a bad role model either.
Maybe we should call Deborah a bad role model to her kid because she shouted and screamed at Lotan and called him names - is she a misandrist? A the end of the day no one knows what type of role model Lotan is to his child, but I suspect his child worships the ground he walks on and vice versa.
