You definitely should! I think you'd love it, I remember I always criticised the BBUS format (like Patrick) without ever having seen it. I gave the first season of BBCan a try when it aired and fell in love and then rewatched almost all the US seasons
the good thing also is they're not much of a commitment to watch, 30 episodes a season is nothing
That's one of my favourite things about the US format as well in that even if I don't like a player and they do well, I can at least appreciate that (for the most part) they've got far/even won on merit and have played a good game. That's far more deserving than in the UK where if you just sit in the house and say very little you might win the show
