Awww sorry to hear that. I was guessing it was gestational diabetes (my aunty had that with one of her children) when I first read it, but it sounds pretty bad especially if it seems to be a permanent thing.

Hope you manage to cope and get the support you need, I personally would be squeamish at the thought of injecting myself but I'm sure you'll learn to live with it.
