Default Nadine Coyle - Go To Work

coming next week apparently!

description

Quote:
Go To Work is a lot like a late 90s summer dance track. It reminds me of Groovejet or something, it has that rolling groove. Not sure it sounds like Girls Aloud... maybe the last 30 seconds or so? "When I come home, when I come home, just a little bit of work when I come home" is very 'Sarah's bit' and the harmony/ad libs could be Nicola/Kimberley's lines I guess. It is certainly catchy, anyway. Not her best moment vocally, the intro seems harsh to me, but overall it's better than anything on Insatiable. It's actually quite similar to Something New? Same tempo, same structure, same sort of distorted "male sounding" backing effect, double chorus ending with an echoed dead end. I swear the guitar riff, which is quite Nile Rogers/Get Lucky-ish, is from something else. But anyway, this is the most Girls Aloud solo song yet.

It's not the camp pop that I secretly hoped for but it's more current 90's easy listening dance. She sings slightly lower than in the GA songs. The only thing I'd say against it at the moment is the backing track is not ground breaking, to say Xenomania always said they didn't look at what was in the charts it's pretty similar to what's already in the charts. Xenomania always had that ability to do something different, which I think we all loved. I don't think this is majorly different.

The album will obviously be either self-titled or called Go To Work.
