The UK's Muslim population are largely more moderate i think.
The problem for the more western friendly Muslims is that they are seen as "apostates" by the others or "uncle Toms" as Sadiq Kahn so eloquently puts it.However i think many much prefer the western way of life over the middle eastern model which is what I believe will not let the extreme elements get a foothold and they'll remain on the fringes.
I would like to believe that NM, I really would, but with the ever-increasing numbers coming in, pretty much unvetted, the likelihood that could change is inevitable.
