Everyone doesn't need to go into mourning and stop themselves from laughing over something we don't know is true, and someone we've never heard of.
Plus, showing respect for death shouldn't mean having to make yourself utterly miserable. Im sure all decent people that lived, who are now dead, would want us all to get on with our lives, be happy and laugh as much as we can =]
