True, but I don't think they were directly laughing at the fact someone had died...but something to do with someone being the same person.

If they did "lol" at someone's post about their dead friend, that'd be just plain evil. Whether you know if it's true or not, there'd still be a risk you are laughing at someone who's genuine. So I agree, it wouldn't be a wise response.
