On trains in general no, on the last train out of the city on a Friday / Saturday night - I totally get it. They are
****ing horrendous, full of drunken louts shouting comments or even grabbing at female passengers. Some of the women too clearly enjoy it all as part of their "night out" but others are clearly very uncomfortable.
So yeah, I can see the logic of having a "safe" car on those late trains. Not that people are at any huge physical risk, I don't think, but being harassed like that can't be fun even if no one is actually going to attack you
