Clean them, if that doesn't work you might benefit from a good bike service.
You can google the best way to clean them, I can't be bothered asking hubby how to do it as it will be me sat with eyes glazing over while I get at least a good 15 minutes of him explaining it and me getting lost at the 5th word.
