A) If you don't know anyone, they probably don't know anyone either! I remember finding 4 of my 6 flatmates on the Freshers page.. it was good to stalk them a bit, but thats all its good for, you can do that day 1 of Uni anyway, you're not missing out too much.
B) Hundreds you meet in the first week will feel the exact same! Stick with them
C) They also put me in an all boys flat in freshers. Idk why, I didn't care too much anyway. Walking in and out of a few flats will become common. Your bessies probs wont be flatmates. coursemates, predrinkingmates, and societymates will more likely get that honour, and thats the same with everybody. I think you can ask to switch as soon as somebody bails on Uni and theres a free room available
D) Get a job if ya want, wouldn't advise it personally. People who get jobs don't do as well academically.. suppose the same can be said for partying.. do what ya want, but dont stress it either way
E) Clothes, cutlery, washingmachine stuff, toiletries.. most stuff can be bought when you're there though, and people are usually open to sharing.
I have faith in you, Greg!
