It's supposed to be a springboard for these peoples career and yet year after year even since series 1 they have yet to find a star or even someone who has more than a few minor hits.

I feel the format is to impersonal with to many contestants for the public to get behind one.

They really need a change in format to make us actually care enough about these people to want to buy their music.
