those foil containers are aluminium and should be going straight into your recycling, jaxie! It's one of the most easily recycled materials, very little wastage, much better than the alternative plastic containers that many takeaways come in now (which are also recyclable, but less of the original material is recovered).
My main gripe around here is the frequency of collections. 3 weeks for green bin, 2 weeks for recycling. Now... the green bin isn't as big an issue (unless you miss it like I did last week and have to wait 6 weeks

...), and I understand wanting to cut landfill waste, but I personally feel like recycling collection should be weekly. What's the excuse for it not being? We should be aiming for there being far more recycling going on, and very little green bin waste, so the recycling bins need regular emptying. I mean if it's full... what can you do but put perfectly good recyclable stuff in the green bin?
