The entire use of both is sexual.

It's not even entirely about what the children see it as, would you allow children to play with something that you regularly stick inside of you for sexual pleasure?

Would the children not be completely disgusted when they grow to learn that "Oh, that cool robot he brought home wasn't actual a cool kid's toy, it was something dad had sex with" I think they'd rather Dad kept his toys to himself in the privacy of his bedroom or whatever.

And neither has anything to do with comparing them to real people of any sexual orientation.
