Not particularly, it leaves a sour taste in my mouth for a little while after but I soon get over it. Of course if my favourite won it might notch a series up a few places (doesn't really work in the opposite direction if one if my least favourite wins) but not effectively.
Helen/Denise Welch/Rylan/Sarah Harding have been my only series favoruites to actually win their respective series and none of their series are among my favourites.
