When I've hired people I was always advised to judge it on two things mostly, suitability for the job and how well their personality would mesh with the other employees. Hell, most companies I've worked for won't even ask that kind of stuff until after you've been employed and you have to fill out your details and such.
Actually the debate today was about black people complaining it was refreshing to hear other black peoples ring in to say they had a chip on their shoulder and if you are qualified for the job you will get it, just as you indicated Dezzy
