Which is another part of the problem, really; far more people have physically-inactive "screen jobs" than in the past.

I agree with this ^
Another problem is the minimum wage. Most people can't survive on a thirty-hour contract for only £7.50 an hour so supplement that job with extra work. Its a researched fact that people who work 60 hours a week will snack a lot more and often on the wrong foods. That's okay if its a physical job but what if its not physical?
