Default Ashley Banjo confirmed as a judge

Quote:
Dancing on Ice has revealed another judge for the revival series – and it's a familiar reality TV face.

Ashley Banjo, best known for being part of dance troupe Diversity, will join head judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean as part of the line-up when the ITV show returns next year.

Rylan Clark-Neal made the announcement on This Morning.

"I can reveal a judge on Dancing on Ice," he said. "It's Ashley Banjo."

Holly Willoughby said: "Ashley Banjo is going to be a great addition to the series.

"He's a brilliant dancer and a brilliant choreographer. He was discovered on Britain's Got Talent, and now he's going to be our judge."

Indeed, as part of Diversity, Banjo won Britain's Got Talent back in 2009. He has also judged on Sky's Got to Dance, so he's no stranger to reality TV.

Jason Gardiner has previously been touted for a judging spot.

The ex-judge was an ever-present member of the panel in the show's original run, except for 2012, and reports last month suggested that producers were keen to line him up for the relaunch series.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are back as presenters.

Speaking about the new series, Phillip said in September that there would be "new titles, new music, a new contemporary look [and] a new set".

Exciting times.

Dancing on Ice returns to ITV in 2018.
