Not that much these days, I pretty much burnt out at Uni, night out after house party after night out... it just all got really old . I have a drink and a catch-up with friends every couple of months, and occasionally out for lunch with th'wife and some people when kids are at school.

Getting out as a couple / with others in groups isn't easy for us these days, we would love to do it more, but the youngest's support needs mean that she can't be watched by random babysitters / childminders / friends... it has to be family who she knows... so that means my dad and his girlfriend coming up (1.5 hour drive, and they're also frequently away from home / unavailable) or my sister , who lives on an island... 2 hour drive + a ferry away, so that's pretty much just bigger occasions (birthdays, weddings, etc.) when we "book her in advance", or if she happens to be spending time on the mainland anyway. Wife's family is 4 hours away in England.

So basically... to make a long story short... I don't go out that much these days, would be more, but childcare is an issue.

That said... I also pretty much enjoy my own company so I'm not that bothered . I'm the weirdo who goes to the cinema alone on a weekday . I like it, probably prefer it most of the time . Also I reckon when I was younger people probably wondered why I was at the cinema alone... but these days... I think I look quite blatantly like "dad getting some peace and quiet"
