I might not be that frequent a poster in SD but I read the threads a lot and yes discussions get heated but the 'gang' accusation only seems to come about when there's more people disagreeing with someone's views than there are people agreeing with them, and discussions about serious topics are bound to get heated so I kind of think that when it happens people should just be a bit more grown up about and accept it? it's not about gangs, it's just... people expressing their views. When it's reduced to 'omg you're ganging up on me' that's when it becomes childish and just not something you'd expect at all from a subforum dedicated to 'serious debates' and it becomes really off putting to actually contribute - I often find myself reading a thread when it's already a few pages long by which point it's already arguments and jibes or something completely off topic so I just don't see the point.
