I was in the transitional era . Up until I was about 15 the girls had to wear skirts, then a large group from my year staged a protest about it and one got her dad (some bigwig lawyer) involved and eventually the school caved and allowed girls to wear trousers or leggings. It was like suffrage all over again... in a small Scottish high school . There should be a movie.
