Nobody should say it regardless of race as it just muddies the water . It just makes people sound stupid and ignorant .

And it will always be offensive and it's now got to the stage where you don't know if someone is joking or being racist, because racists themselves pronounce it the same way people do who refer to their friends as that .

So its the same word which ever way you look at it and it shouldn't be one rule for one and one for another .
