We need some sort of word to describe a person who homes in their hate on a specific religion. Hitler and Nazi Germany claimed they were anti-semite and yet semitic religions are Christianity, Judaism and Islam.

Then I guess we don't need the word Islamophobe, because anti-Semite would cover hatred toward muslims.
